Legends say King John lost the Crown Jewels of Britain on his way home from a conflict with rebels in the salt marshes near Lincolnshire known as The Wash. The finest artists in the kingdom were summoned to recreate the jewels with even more precious materials and greater detail. Our Crown Jewel, ornately carved in the style of High Renaissance artist, Andre Boulle, was originally introduced by world-renowned cabinetmaker, Charles A. Porter, in 1966, as the Royal Georgian.
